My name is Nick Carter and I have been painting since I was old enough (3 years old) to get into my mother's purse and put her red lipstick on.  In the late 90's I recognized a time our people once walked in the dark through the use of my dark blues in my paintings. The bright Colors I started to incorporate six years ago. To me they represent “our ancestors coming through in this time…also highlighted by the orange.”
